Facts & Figures - Team Trophy

The INFERNO Team Trophy is the fun competition for well-trained hobby athletes. Whether with friends, club colleagues or company team, the Team Trophy is all about taking part in superb natural surroundings.

Max. 250 teams

At least one woman per team for teams of four. Each athlete competes in one of the four race sections. Teams organise themselves; one vehicle per team is permitted.

Route and sections

1st section - Swimming:
Thun - Oberhofen
Distance 3.1 km

2nd section - Road Bike:
Oberhofen (562m a.s.l.) - Sigriswil (810) - Beatenberg (1153) - Interlaken (563) - Meiringen (593) - Grosse Scheidegg (1962) - Grindelwald (943).
Distance 97 km, slope 2145 m.

3rd section - Mountain Bike:
Grindelwald (943) - Kleine Scheidegg (2061) - Wengen (1275) - Lauterbrunnen (795) - Stechelberg (862).
Distance 30 km, slope 1180 m.

4th section - Fell running:
Stechelberg (862) - Lauterbrunnen (795) - Mürren (1640).
Distance 17 km, slope 850 m.

The closing time will be strictly adhered to for reasons of safety. Teams who do not achieve the following intermediary times will be not be permitted to continue the race:

Prizes

The 5 leading teams will receive attractive natural prizes. The leading womens-team (4 women) will receive a special prize.

All members of the finisher-teams will receive a INFERNO Team Trophy-Finisher-T-Shirt.

Entry fee

CHF 480.- / EURO 325.- for registrations till 21 July 2010
CHF 530.- / EURO 360.- for registrations from 22 July 2010

Included in the entry fee: 4x return trips Stechelberg – Mürren by Schilthorn aerial cableway, 4x Pasta-Party on 21 August 2010 in Mürren, free parking for the team-car in Grindelwald and Stechelberg.

Registrations

We accept your registrations starting 22 February 2010.

Deregistrations

Cancellations on health grounds will be accepted on presentation of a doctor’s certificate. Refund of the entry fee will be liable to a CHF 50 / EURO 35 deduction for administration costs.

Competition rules

The INFERNO Team Trophy is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Triathlon Federation (tri) rules under the supervision of the tri adjudicators. For participants of the Team Trophy to following thinks are important:

Swimming: A wet suit (Neopren) is obligatory for the swimming discipline. Neopren gloves or socks may not be worn.
Road Bike: Slipstream (drafting) is forbidden.
Road Bike and Mountain Bike: The wearing of an officially approved shell helmet is obligatory. This must be worn for the entire course (incl. ascent!).

No licences are required.

Doping is prohibited. The Swiss Olympic Association is authorized to carry out doping tests.

Competition regulations (exract)

The same competition regulations as for the INFERNO Triathlon are applicable. The following must also be noted for the INFERNO Team Trophy:
Each team arranges its own transport during the race. One vehicle is permitted per team to move along the stipulated route from Thun - Interlaken - Grindelwald – Stechelberg. Team vehicles must be marked. The team of any vehicle leaving the set route will be disqualified.
